Well, a little bit of a disappointment for Quest, but Im okay with it - hes going to stay in the ICU one more night. After the surgery, he was on an IV blood pressure medicine that is different than the atenolol he usually takes. Hes been off that medication since yesterday morning, but they havent given him his atenolol yet. They want to make sure everything goes well when he takes this first dose of atenolol, so they want to keep him in the ICU to be on the safe side. Hes bummed because he was looking forward to getting out of ICU and into a more comfortable room. Thats okay. Itll happen tomorrow!!! Quest has been very active today!!! He walked to the door and back, and when he was in here by himself for a few minutes, he decided to get out of bed. Yeah, thats a no-no. Tims dad and sister and I had stepped out because Quest asked us to because he had to use the bathroom. We thought he was going to try the urinal while lying in bed, but this kid decided to stand up and get out of bed, and the nurses busted him doing that. He is one determined kid!!!!! Hes tired right now. Been a busy day for a kid two days out from major heart surgery and Nuss surgery.
