Well after many important phone calls, sleepless nights, and prayers we have decided the best plan to move forward with the best chance of cure and complete tumor removal is proton radiation therapy before we start chemo therapy. This of course will be a much more intense and longer treatment plan that will bring along side effects that will effect him long term because it is complete cranial and spinal radiation. However we are willing to take the risks in order to cure this thing and keep my baby here longer! We start the two week prep period tomorrow and stem cell harvesting this weekend. Proton radiation will start after the prep and will be 5 days a week 3 hrs a day at CHOP for 6 weeks :-/ After radiation starts chemo. But one step at a time. We are at peace with our decision however scary it may be we know God is on our side, that weve seen miracles happen, and we have faith! Please just keep praying as we start this new plan and pray we have made the best decision for Landon. #prayersforlandon
