Well another adventurous day has been had by all here at Trident - TopicsExpress

Well another adventurous day has been had by all here at Trident Adventure Spain. We recently discovered maps of new cave systems in the area and felt the need to explore them. Today we ventured into a cave named "Cueva de los Huesos" (cave of the bones). After beating back the undergrowth the mouth of the cave opened up to us. After rigging our anchors and completing a final safety check we plunged into the darkness. A short abseil led us to a tunnel that forced us to crawl on our bellies before opening into a larger room. From here there was a vertical 60m drop down a crevasse. This opened into a spectacular cathedral, displaying its humungous Stalagtites, Stalagmites and Calcite formations. Even though the cave continued downwards we had spent to much time staring and the vast walls in all there glory. We had to turn around before darkness fell in the outside world. After an exhilarating multi-pitch climb back out to the cave mouth, hi-fives were shared to congratulate everyone on yet another safe and brilliant expedition. But, have no doubt we will be returning to this glorious cavern to continue further into the Earths crust.
