Well at least today day turned out better than it started! On my way to work at 05:00 this morning my fan belt shredded and wound itself round the bottom pulley, causing the cam belt to jump 2 teeth - this could have been fatal for the engine but having spent the day re-timing it and fitting a new fan belt all seems OK. Then I come indoors to check my emails only to find I have been invited for an interview at Portsmouth University. Today has been a good reminder why I decided to leave the car repair industry and work towards becoming a Paramedic - I am now one small step closer to reaching that goal.
