Well; here I am working on a shotgun. Its a Winchester model 1897 takedown that; shall we say, has seen much better days. Lets put it this way, the shortest list would be the things that are not wrong with this shotgun. So much so that I have nicknamed it Obamacare because, this thing is so screwed up, that I have my doubts that it can be fixed. This may be the one guys, the thing that I cant fix. I will keep you posted on any progress that I make, but I am not too hopeful. For example, this is a take down model, so your supposed to just be able to separate the two halves with any tools. Well; I needed a pair of padded vice grips and a rubber hammer to do it. Stock is cracked, action does not operate freely and the who thing looks as though somebody spent several years chucking rocks at it. Oh yeah, they painted it too. Even the threads. All the threads, and buggered the screws too. The trigger group and hammer seem to work fine though. I think I am in for a fight on this one.
