Well its been a week since I visited my dad, he started chemo yesterday, no bad side effects...yay! He is changing radically though week to week, short term memory is going rapidly, and anger, anxiety, frustration and agitation are moving in. I feel for my stepmom, because he directs his displeasure to her, and she does her very best to stay calm and suck it up, but today I didnt see much of the dad I know, that part is slipping away and Im so sad to see it go. Hes becoming a bit rebellious and feisty which is not his nature. I reminded him that manners are a good thing and he may want to consider not being so bossy. I get to see him twice next week.....he likes visitors every day, so we all sort of do shifts, at 1st it was awkward to visit so much (like we were admitting that time is precious) we all never have.....but it became normal very quickly.
