Well, my 52nd first day of school is in the books! Ive been through this as an elementary, junior high, high school, and college student, a high school teacher, and now Im back in elementary school as a Parapro. Each stage of my school experience has had its rewards and its challenges, but Ive got to say that I dont know that I have enjoyed anything as much as what I am doing now! Of course, the fact that I am actually retired and I keep telling myself this is just a hobby doesnt hurt:) But I work with a great bunch of folks who genuinely appreciate what little I do around there and make me feel like Im a lot smarter than I actually am. They just have no idea how much I am faking it! It was cool to be introduced to a class as the math fact guru! God has blessed me with some amazing colleagues throughout my career, but now He has surrounded me with a big WES family! I think as long as I can convince myself to keep rolling out of bed every morning, I may just keep showing up there.
