Well, somethings got to give with the store. December wasnt just a bad month, it was in the hole by hundreds of bucks, and another month like that and it will be closed...its not just one bad month, the past 3 have declined rapidly each month...i cant keep opening credit to keep it floating, so a change is coming, and coming quick. Furniture is a great seller, but I just dont have a lot of space to carry a lot of it, and with it mostly just me in the store alone, I cant handle moving that stuff and loading it up and carrying it by myself....i had to let my gal go because i couldnt afford payroll, so hiring help isnt an option and kevin has college and a lot of homework- thats a priority with him....so with that being said: January is clearance month. I want all the junk cleared out so I can open the store as something new, and hopefully more successful....ive researched a couple of places in other cities with a close population of ours, and they have 14 full time employees and making a decent go at it...they do nothing but movies and music and video games, and memorabilia. We have always sold a lot of movies and video games, DVD players, vinyl, etc, and since its such a strong seller, an entire store of it should be even better. The key to any business is low price and a good selection, and Springfield doesnt offer that type of store at all.....recycled records: the one thing i hear daily about them is their high prices, the same goes for game stop and the others.....im not looking to get rich, but it would be nice to pay the bills and maybe eat once in awhile...im going to finalize a few things over the next few days and ill keep things posted as it goes.....
