Well, strike 2 for mule deer... Although killin bucks started a little early... Like 4am early on the way to the airport. A nice 8 pt. buck bit the dust as Josh tried to miss but there was no avoiding it. After swapping cars with Jill and running like mad thru the airport we made our flight by THREE minutes as they were closing the doors. Whew!! So we camp in AZ, walk a mile to our stands thru thick brush well over our head and sit in a lock on for 13 hrs a day for 7 days. Yup, our butts are still numb!! I saw the buck I wanted in the first half hour but the wind was swirling and busted me. It was an eventful week with LOTS of action but the storms and wind killed us. Had tons of bull elk under my stand and took video of one thrashing in the wallow... So cool!!! At the end of our trip we ended with shooting the arrow tree. I was told everyone tries to be the top arrow. After Josh bounced once and missed another time, LOL, I took a shot and am now currently holding the record for the highest arrow!!! LOL!!! Another great thing, our great hunting buddies Angie Walk and Roy were in the camp right next to us... Small hunting world. We loved seeing them and swapping stories. To top of the trip, we got to see my cousins Elizabeth Foor and Jeremy and the baby before leaving Albuquerque. Sooo... U got the whole story and this is my longest post to date!! Haha.
