Well that was painful! Gateshead 10k has a bloody huge and tiring hill, Sisyphus has nothing on me! Nice to randomly see Naomi around half way and it was great to see James and Mischa come out to cheer me on. Youre officially the first people to come out and watch me run. Very nice to see friendly faces! And thankyou for grabbing my sweaty cap from me! So it wasnt my fastest (actually my second fastest I think) but for a hilly course like that 47:54 is respectable I think. If anyone would like to sponsor me my next race of this little challenge is another 10k in Gateshead but on a trail, I think its in about 5 weeks. It isnt on my list of runs on the justgiving site but I figured Id squeeze it in to add a trail to my experiences before the Great North Run. Anything you can give would be great.
