Well the hail storm that hit Brisbane suddenly smashed the windows down one side of my little shop. Glass everywhere. It took the peak cap off the roof which water came in and my lights arent working, though small blessings we still have electricity. It ripped a sign off the roof. My beautiful gardens have been smashed by hail stones, it looked like snow it was so thick, 10-15cm deep. Lucky earlier this year large dead branches from some big old trees I had had cut down. The back tree had smaller ones come down but not enough to damage anything. The umbrella tree at the front has gone from a lush beauty to a naked lady, her branches almost bare. Early today a customer had said what an oasis that I had managed to achieve outside, he always looks when he goes past. Now it will take a long time to recover from the smash and thrashing it received today. I will have to close the shop til Monday to get it all back under control. I have almost finished boarding up the windows tonight. Oh, and when I go to heat some dinner, my microwave is dead. 100m down the street, lightning hit a tree. What a day!
