Well, the joke asks just how many Aggies does it take to screw in a light bulb. As an Aggie, I can proudly say just ONE. They should have asked how LONG it took. So I decide to finally replace the light bulb in the bathtub/shower, no problem right. NOT. As I tried to get the ladder into the bathtub I almost pulled down the shower curtain holder. Once I got onto the ladder evidently I didnt have it pulled out all the way I almost fell off a ladder and slipped in the bathtub all at once. Try telling that to the ER!!!. Finally I unscrewed the two little screws and proceeded to take the fixture out when something fell on my face, now mind you this is the same bathroom we always find scorpions in...YIKES. Turns out it was the old dirty rubbery ring that keeps moisture out. This leads to the next dilemma,I need to replace the ring. I cleaned out the fixture- how do bugs always get into those things? , then I found some old roll of door stripping, BINGO. Well the roll was so old that the sticky part no longer stuck. After searching every where for that familiar bottle of ole Elmers (at least 20 min) I cant get the glue to come out. Go around again looking for a paint brush to use instead. Once I applied the glue it kept slipping out of place, so off too laundry room for clothes pins. Waiting for it to dry........ Ok, finally dry. Get back on said ladder with new light bulb and fixture when suddenly I hear something drop, YEP I sure DO have a screw loose, and down the drain as well. This now leads to yet another long put off problem. I have a bottom drawer that is just full of nails, screws, tool junk. I must of spent at least 20 minutes trying to find another screw to fit. I am now proud to say after about an hour I can flip that darn switch and say....let there be light. (I really need to organize the junk tool drawer, but not today!
