Well the last practice at Bicester opened my eyes. It seems that the Drums that myself and Robert Hyslop set up has been hijacked and WE have no say in how it is run. We have been told for weeks by Norman Brown and Dusty Bryant. That we (the Corps of Drums)where to take no part in 23 Pioneers disbandment parade. Only to be asked by RSM Lane on Saturday night if we could do a Display on the Friday afternoon. Let down again !! And then I learn that even though we asked Norman over 12 months ago if the Drums could all be Accommodated in one block. Unlike last year as we where split between 3 blocks. It now seems that we may not even all be in the same camp. And the fact that we are expected to pay for our accommodation while we provide our services free of Charge. Is for me the last Straw. Any other Corps of other Drums would charge in excess of £1,000. So good luck for Corps Weekend lads. I for one will not be there.
