Well this fragile little lady, i rescued from being beaten up by a bunch of big bullies on the street, was lucky to be alive, when i first saw her she was squealing & fighting for her life with 5 dogs surrounding her using there aggression to intimidate her & biting at her limbs, luckily i drove around the corner just at the right moment, cause im afraid these big boys could well have really done some serious damage on this little angel, if i didnt scare them off. Anyway since then shes been back at Doggie Heaven recovering from these wounds, blood parasites & very severe anaemia & malnutrition- then last week a nasty event happened which changed her life & i feel its necessary to share Honeys misfortune with you all... maybe you are able to help? Ive asked James ( the guy who helps me at Doggie Heaven ) to recount the story, as he was driving the car when disaster struck…. “Josh & i were driving on the way to our favourite doggie walk late afternoon & a large pack of street dogs came charging out at the car from all directions, barking and growling & chasing our car up the road, just as we got past them, another dog ran right out in front of the wheels of the car. I swerved violently and slammed on the brakes making an emergency stop to avoid hitting the dog & this caused our dogs in the back of the car to be thrown from one side to the other with some force, as we have laid all the seats flat in the back to give the dogs more room. Everyone was ok, except for Honey, sadly she was injured, yelping at the top of her lungs & couldnt stand up any longer, Josh grabbed her into his arms & into the front seat & we went straight to the vet’s, after several x-rays they confirmed that she had broken her back right leg & fractured the left side of her pelvis and possibly her tail bone, but he said we would need to take her to a specialised surgeon to get a more in depth consultation tomorrow. Dr John plastered up her broken leg & send us home for the evening with some anti- inflammatory & painkillers, but she was crying a whining all night & peeing & pooh uncontrollably & seeing & hearing this left me feeling really bad & not knowing quite what to do.I called Sherin straight away to tell her what had happened & figured there noting we could do till tomorrow when we can get on the phone & do some calling around to get her some help, so i bundled her into be with me & we both had a sleepless night Please stay tuned for more updates on little Honey in the next few days ….
