Well time to get back at it. While the doctors have given me strict instructions to do nothing, they even said no cooking! What no cooking, you may as well cut my arms off, cooking is who I am. And truly I am not one to sit around. So Im gonna try and get some chores done with the chickens today. I will take it slow, and listen when my body says I am running out of breath. From my point of view fresh air is just what my wounded lung needs right now, and fresh air is what I intend on giving it. Besides all that I have a chicken tractor to fix this week. With 6 more peeps arriving the first week of May, I have to get the 14 broilers moved out of the brooder and into the red tractor, in order to do that I have to move the 30 broilers out of the red tractor and into the repaired pvc tractor. Then a month later the ducklings will arrive and they will need to the brooder and the layer chicks will be moved to the red tractor as a grow out pen. The ducklings and layers chicks, I think, will then use the red tractor as a grow out pen together. And then there is still the veg garden to put in. First I have to clean up the old vegetation, then till, then rake off any rocks, then till, then rack smooth, then put in the rows and plant. Im not putting much out this year corn, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, sunflowers, maybe some green peppers and cukes. Tomatoes and cukes are a given cause I am out of canned tomato products and relish. So I will be canning them when the time comes. So you see I really dont have time to deal with cancer. Just another bridge to over come, a speed bump in the road. My future does not stop here, it may be delayed but it will not be stopped.
