Well today I spent the morning relaxing until I went to feed my hens and found two new chicks cold outside a mother hen nest. One was dead and so heated the wheat bag and restored the other one with some heat it came alive again and back to the mother again to join another little sibling chick. I then decided to made raspberry cupcakes for the day. Made coffee for John and we had lunch. Done dishes and hung up washing went to the shops and bought some gear to stain my table & chairs and came home to make the yum desert that I posted..(must make) Started dinner lamb rack in the oven slowly roasted....( there goes the diet again) Went to check on my chicks and to my horror the nest was abandoned and the two chicks were cold again & nearly dead. This time we took the 3 eggs left behind and nearly dead cold chicks to another broody hen as it was nearly dark. (You can do this when its dark) I gave her the chicks under her wings (I hope she pushes them to a warm place) and John put the eggs under the other wing...Went back & Served up dinner and after ate yummy desert with plums and now its dishes then a good movie I hope.. (I forgot I have to sell something on trad me so better do it now) "In the garden tomorrow"
