Well today its been a fortnight since I left my mates behind in Carcassonne SPA. These new chaps seem pretty nice, I especially like Martin because hes really kind plus he takes me for loads of walks. Stephen is ok too, he feeds me my evening meal. Usually I just eat the meaty bits and leave the dry biscuits behind. Today Ive been in that sporty white Hyundai again! Its not my favourite place because Martin drives a bit fast, even though Stephen keeps telling him how to drive. I know hes taken his driving down to 90%, I believe its the best he can do. When we arrived home I went for another walk in the Olive Grove before Martin & I went into the house. Stephen had unpacked all the shopping from Lidl. Then everything stopped for a while and I had a few snacks whilst the lads ate a baguette and had a cup of English Breakfast tea. In the afternoon there was loads of noise and banging from the kitchen. Apparently, Martin wasnt happy with his spices in drawers so hed bought a glass cabinet instead so that he could display them. From what I can gather Stephen did all the diy stuff and Martin supervised. At one point there was a lot of cursing and debate about the picture instructions. Stephen wasnt happy with the fixings included in the packaging and insisted on using some heavier duty ones from his own supplies. Im sure I heard Martin say Come the hurricane, the display cabinet will be left standing even if the house has been blown down! I dont think Stephen appreciated this remark. It only took them 90 minutes to site the cupboard and I was able to have a sneaky nap by the Poêle à Bois.
