Well today was a Special Day for our Military Veterans, they all deserve to be recognized for their service to this Country. I wish the Homecoming for our Vietnam Vets had been better! My dad had told me stories about how he was treated when he returned. Ive spoken with several different men who served during Vietnam and they all spoke about how they were treated so terrible upon their return. I cant imagine how hard that must have been then and even still to this day.... To have served their country doing what they were told and then treated like they were less than human when they returned! People like Jane Fonda should be ashamed of how they acted and still act today! Sadly we dont live in a perfect world and there are many countries that have needed our help to defend themselves. Our Military has always done the right thing by stepping up to the cause and stepping in to aid other countries. Yes, their have been those who dodged the draft, those who protested conflicts and wars.... Well, I say this.... As you lay down to go to sleep in your nice, comfortable, warm surroundings dont forget that you have that luxury BECAUSE OF MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE SERVED, and are SERVING NOW!! While they sleep on a cot in a tent in a foreign land you might be taking a bubble bath or sipping coffee at your nearest Starbucks. So if you cant support them, then at least keep your mouth shut if anything negative is going to come out of it!
