Well tonight was pretty bad. He was loopy and out of it and not himself at all. He didnt run around, he didnt speak much (compared to usual), he signed a few times instead of speaking. He started smacking himself in the face repeatedly and couldnt answer why he did it... he said, I am lost. I am very lost. Im in a different house and later said I am gone. Gone away. He felt very detached. He hit me in the face too and didnt know why, but he did feel bad. At other times, he was on the ball and even knew where we were on the planet - North America, on the NE coast, he found us on the ipad app! But in general, he was just not himself. When he walked, his balance was worse than usual. When he sat, he kept falling over, no matter what position he sat in. He almost cracked his head on his headboard. He almost fell down the stairs but I caught him. I have seen him have ataxia for 3 years and this was not just regular ataxia. His mind was not there entirely, his eyes kind of dull at times. His speech didnt make sense at times and very slurry. I checked him for signs of stroke in kids, and thank goodness he passed those tests fine. Otherwise wed be in the ER. Im thinking partial seizures. Im calling the neuro in the AM, but shes on maternity leave, so IDK who well get. Also calling the ped in the AM. I hope he wakes up feeling okay, otherwise hes staying home. I almost had him sleep with me, but he NEEDS rest and he doesnt rest well with me. Keep praying please! We need it.
