Well, we flopped at the parade today, we did get to see everyone and their amazing horses in dressed for the holidays, we waved as they rode by! As for us the day started with me in my Mrs. Claus costume, unable to find my cloak anywhere, so had to bring a makeshift, then my Mrs. Claus wig looked ridiculous...somehow it must have gotten longer from last year, so I resorted to a Santa beard that I found. (the hole for his mouth got stuffed under a Santa that also wasnt mine but was the only one I could find!) Now we load up my driving mini team along with the cart, arrive in town, the trailer went back to GAA to get 3 more horses that were riding in the parade and it left with the minis harnesses! So now we wait and wait, not able to harness the little guys until the trailer returns...which it does pretty late because one of the horses refused to load! So he got left behind. Now we start harnessing only to discover we are missing a BRIDLE, oh no.... we have 10 minutes until the parade begins!! My husband shoots home to look for the bridle, in the mean time the parade starts. I see one of our riders trying to catch up with the parade (which is out of sight by now.) We wave to her as she passes. Now we see our other rider running up to us saying her horse is in a frenzy because the other one left without him and she cant even get the bridle on him! So he stayed behind. My husband returns tells me he ransacked to house..no bridle, ok, no matter the parade is returning anyway and we see our first rider walking back (on the ground with horse in hand) the horse sort of freaked when it saw the oncoming parade heading at them and became a little naughty, common sense suggested the rider dismount. Well there we stood admiring everyone passing by, a cluster of GAAsters, all decked out with no place to go but home again!!! We actually laughed a lot once everyone was settled in..NEXT year we will be prepared!! So no Linda, no photos today. LOL. Gerda
