Went to Vintage for dinner finally with friends today. Quaint is the word that comes to you upon seeing the decor. From the lovely window dressing, down from the passage to the beautifully set, main dining hall with the lace-covered ceiling and the intricate lace-edged wooden border, the decor gives you the feeling of a whimsical & old charm English cottage. The food was duly served and the service was great. For starters, we just had some Caesars Salad, which was very fresh and crispy. We ordered Chicken Parmesan, Chicken with Red Bell Peppers, served either with mashed potatoes or fries and Lemon Herb Chicken with herb rice. The food was delicious and both the deep-fried chicken Parmesan & the chicken steaks, succulent and saucy. The servings were more than ample, so much so that we ended up not ordering any dessert but just some coffee, and they do have quite a long list of scrumptious-sounding desserts to order from. The staff is very polite and obliging. I do hope however, that they are able to find bigger premises to move to with the passage of time, as its quite a small place. As a group of four, we were sitting quite near the other restaurateurs and it could get congested very easily and I did feel a little conscious about the noise level after a bit and we werent that large a group :). All in all, I would say, it was a great experience and a great addition to the list of great eateries in town.
