Went to see Noah today. I have to say I enjoyed it, or maybe liked it would be more accurate. Now a disclaimer, no, it does not represent anything close to a literal or tradition version. It is a big budget Hollywood version, however I find it unique in that I walked away feeling like the story was handled respectively. I think it could be a great conversation starter, and I can respect that the ideas of sin, righteousness, mercy and grace are front and center, if anything some of the places where I felt the movie went to far, at least were places where they were trying to emphasize those concepts. Again, this is not meant to be a visualization of the bible account, it is a dramatic interpretation. If you take it as such you might find it very thought provoking. Not saying youll definitely like it, in our family we walked away with missed feelings. Maybe Ill post more later.
