Went to see TEDx San Jose State University today with Ashley. It was an awesome experience watching all the presenters and being surrounded by people with similar interests, a fascination toward new ideas and ways of thinking. I highly recommend watching anything to do with TED on youtube or on their website. Their videos have really helped me to expand my thoughts, to open my mind to all sorts of possibilities of thinking. I would not be the person I am today if I hadnt been exposed to these talks. Each one has played a role in who I am, each one differing in the level of impact on my life, but still important nonetheless. I believe that we do not create our mindsets on our own, but that our thoughts are a cultivation of everything that has come before us, and how we measure these predecessors based off of our own values is what truly determines our psyche. If I could one day do a TED Talk of my own, in its own little special way that would be an insanely monumental success for me in my life. This video was shown to us today in between the presenters, and is something that resonates with me very deeply.
