Were back from Eastern Europe. We had a great time with our friends, Pam and Kevin. Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania…loaded with history-whew! These countries have not yet survived the impact of WWII and have buildings still standing with bullet holes and bombed out walls. Two things stood out - there are hardly any Jews left in these countries…just decimated (like the synagogue pic I took of the bombed out building) AND the stray dogs and cats. They are everywhere and they all have tags in their ears. These governments spay and neuter their strays. I dont know if they feed their people, but they take care of their animals!!
