West Valley Update Ron Bigelow, response, I might say VERY week and NO direct, just talk and not even correct! As mayor, I would support training except from official sources and trainers. As for visiting with and hearing from groups of any sort within West Valley, I want to have our police department open to hearing from them. In response to your summary: Require that the Chief selections have a public input section. I agree. However, I believe that this is already going forward and a new chief will be announced without that public input. I am told this will occur by August 1. Audit those supervisors of the suspended officers. I agree that an audit should be performed, not just of these supervisors, but of all of the department. However, this will be determined by the whole council, not just the mayor. Audit policy and procedure, without input, control of Pyle. I definitedly agree with this suggestion. As with the audit, I will have to work with the city council to convince them of the need for this. All Police and Fire shall reside within city limits within 24 months. This will need to be carefully evaluated. It may be difficult to do this short term depending on the number of officers available, but it is worth looking into.
