West Windsor Warriors 10U and Central Jersey As exchanged the lead - TopicsExpress

West Windsor Warriors 10U and Central Jersey As exchanged the lead four times on Tuesday, but West Windsor Warriors 10U ended up on top with an 8-4 win in six innings over Central Jersey As. Kevin Cao racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Warriors taking an outside pitch to the opposite field as he homered in the second inning to take an early 3-0 lead. But the As held their own bringing in 3 of their own in the 3rd and taking the lead in the top of the 4th. Thats when the Warriors came to life and put the pedal to the metal. Josh Raeters laser shot to 3rd caused a error that brought in Max Lasky and Justin Guest. After an intentional walk of Cao, Ryan Kats made the As pay with a line drive shot to left field, plating Raeter and Dylan Elias who had walked earlier in the inning. Indecision by the As 2nd baseman allowed Owen Lundy to single in Cao from 3rd leaving a score of 8-4 when the dust settled. Strong at bats also came from the likes of Dylan Palmer, AJ Friedman, Cooper Dey with patience at the plate from Lasky, Elias and Raeter. On the defensive side, Guest pitched an inspiring game going 5 full innings; Lasky making a strong throw to home to throw out a potential run to end the 3rd; Zach Naddelman played a solid 2nd base with the entire infield giving up very little to the As. Cooper Athey made the catch of the season in Center Field with a diving line drive to kill the momentum of the As in the 5th. Also, the fake the throw for a steal to Palmer at SS actually worked with a run down of the runner from 3rd for an out. The Warriors will face Hopewell Valley on Saturday, tentatively scheduled for 11:00 AM in Hopewell Valley. Keep an eye out for more details.
