Western Revolution by Derrel Spencer Over two hundred years ago our forefathers showed up on a ship. They had a spark in their eye and a hunger for freedom, thats why they made the trip. That spark turned to a raging fire as they fought and tamed the land. They rebelled against the crown and refused to be under her hand. Them boys endured more tough times than most of us will ever understand. The tougher ones went west and spread from Montana to the Rio Grand. They fought grizzly bears and wolves, Comanche and Cheyenne. Now those boys werent no pansies and seldom seen the barber or used the soap. They settled most their problems with a rifle or a rope. Well that was years ago, when this country was still new, and they all knew what side they were on, their loyalty was true. Boys, weve got a problem. Weve been invaded from the East. By folks who worship nature and each and every beast. They run us off our land, to save the spotted owl. Theyve put the grizzly back in our forest, and lately Ive heard the wolves howl. Ive seen good men loose their jobs and everything they own. They never had a chance to reap what they had sewn. Theyve shot our troughs, cut our fences and scattered our salt licks. Burned our cabins, shot our cows, and other coward tricks. Theyre tryin to take our stewardships and run us out of the land we love best. But Im afraid theyll find the hard way, that were still willin to fight for this here west. I hope them fellers soon hunt their holes, Or some of us folks will loose our souls. Cuz killin, it just aint right, but dont expect to take our land without a fight. The fires are ragin once again in the western mans eyes, and these eastern folks are getting thicker than flies. Were tyin our ropes in twelve coil knots, Our guns are loaded and our hammers are cocked. So you boys best help us find a solution, or pull your hats down tight and get ready for the WESTERN REVOLUTION!
