Western Sahara between the Spanish and the Moroccan Occupation arso.org/opinions/SHa200414.htm After reading this piece I could not ignore the fact that today in 2014, very few people in the Ara world know about the Sahrawi struggle, very few resources about it are available in Arabic online and they are mostly edited by Morocco. On the other hand, the Spanish civil society is all over the place with aid campaigns, education, health and food programs. Some Spanish NGO has the program of taking Sahrawi children from the age of 2 till the age of 18 every summer for three months, to spend the summer with a Spanish family on the beaches of Spain, away from the hard, hot and cruel life in the Tindouf camps. The children learn Spanish and experience life outside of the camps on the beaches of Spain!
