Weve received some good news: the Egyptian Government has given Plan special permission to work directly with the thousands of Syrian refugees in and around #Egypts Alexandria. This is a big step forward for Plan! It’s been three years since the bloody conflict in #Syria erupted. More than 100,000 have died and millions of women and children are still pouring into neighbouring countries seeking aid, protection and shelter. Stay tuned for more news about the number of projects Plan is developing to heal and bolster the resilience of Syrian refugees in Egypt – particularly children. “Violence has left devastating marks on children’s lives,” says Unni Krishnan, Head of Disaster Preparedness and Response at Plan International. “We can’t continue to fail them.”
