Weve started a series on Wednesday nights on deception. The Bible teaches that in the last days deception will increase. Deception has its origin with the devil which flows into & through his mouthpieces among us. Deception is released through words. Words are powerful. They can encourage as well as discourage us. They can produce bravery & fear. Words are simply thoughts that are spoken. Jesus said that words reveal whats in our hearts. And words mean different things today than they used to. So its imperative that we understand the motives & meanings of what is being thought in the church. I try to listen closely to teaching & preaching. Ive heard things that sound inviting& exciting. My emotions have been stirred. However, that doesnt make whats being said truth. Truth is found in Gods word. The Bible is Gods revealed will. And the Bible confirms that Jesus is truth. So everything said must be measured by Gods word. If its not word, its not truth. If its not truth it wont help you. And if it wont help you it will hurt you. Jesus said we would know the truth and the truth would set us free. Read the Bible. Know Jesus. Be free. You dont have to be deceived. Be blessed.
