What I learnt during my week in Vanuatu: - Finding Nemo (as much as the scuba instructor says he is) is not based on Hideaway Island (even though were dumb enough to fall for it (its a cartoon for crying out loud!!!)) - Road rules are non existent in Vanuatu, if you want to cross a road, close your eyes and walk and hope (driving on the road is worse) - Money exchanged to Vatu, no matter how much you think it is, its not more money at all - Nail Polish and fake nails are very fascinating for young girls in the local villages - Sports bras are required on roads in Vanuatu more than playing any sport in Australia - Cocktails CAN and WILL be consumed for breakfast - When buying a seafood platter, only a platter for one is required for a whole army - Blonde hair extensions dont turn green in a pool but rather pink in the water off Hideaway Island - Peanut butter and jelly isnt all its cracked up to be - I now know a fair few Football rules and that apparently I go for Hawthorne and Port Adelaide sucks - The book Gone Girl is absolutely amazing with more plot twists than the Australian Government - A whole jar of Nutella is a perfectly acceptable snack for a 2 hour plane trip home
