What a crazy day it has been! I didnt sleep all night, left for the hospital at 3AM to check in a bit before 6AM. Got in, got an IV and then went for an epidural. Before I knew it I was out and off to surgery. Things have gone well so far, Ive now got a metal bar inside of my chest. Some of you guys knew I was having this done and what it is, for those who dont I was having a Nuss procedure done. This procedure is done to fix something called Pectus Excavatum which is basically a dent in my chest which has been pressing on my lungs since I was a kid and giving me a pretty reduced lung capacity (no wonder I hated running). It also had shifted my heart out of place in my chest. My dent is now almost all gone, a few flared ribs remain down below but thats fine, they dont really matter much (I dont think).
