What a glorious evening this has been - while at Barnes and Noble, I had my backpack stolen when I got up to get my coffee. 10 seconds is all it took for some delightful jerk to snatch it from my chair containing just a few of my most prized possessions: my Nikon camera, my HD/High Speed video camera, my personal journal with my best sketches, my pouch containing 3 8GB thumb drives, my camera batteries which I guess I dont need anymore and best of all, my ADD prescription bottle containing my last two pills which I hope the above-mentioned delightful jerk takes, chokes on them both and staggers out into the street and gets pulverized by a Metro bus, but not before hes dragged for a few city blocks. Security cameras will have him, but the cop said it will be a tough one if hes never been convicted. I at least had my iPod in my pocket when I got up to get my coffee, so I didnt lose everything, but a bit more of my faith in humanity has definitely gone down the drain *sigh*
