What a surprise, a city with extreme economic problems deciding to vent its rage and anger at a select minority instead of venting where the rage at whom it is deserved, a generation of inept politicians and economists. Economic problems combined with crime committed by a small group(both real and fake crimes because no doubt some has happened but the way its going anyone could make anything up and it will be believed) and the whole things starts to stink of Ukip and Jobbik rhetoric and actions. Starting with protests but it is quite easier to stroke this rage into actions beyond that. Comments showing up on newspapers articles about the protest at Railway square repeatedly use the expression Taking our city back. Interesting phrasing, combining this with similar comments made on the now closed facebook which had similar comments along with gas-chamber references. The only hope is that this does not translate into a political movement which would lean to the far end of the right spectrum and would keep stirring the pot of hatred to the boil. This reeks of poison and the ideas it can create are increasingly worrying. Starts with this group, where will it stop, this inbred nationalistic style rhetoric of taking our city back is not the end of this.
