What a whirlwind day today!! I tried getting this post out sooner, but weve been going nonstop all day. We started out bright and early this morning with McKays follow-up MRI. While waiting for the sleepy medicine, he asked me, Is it gonna be the fast sleepy medicine or the slow sleepy medicine? When I told him it was the slow kind, he replied, Awww, I wanted the fast one! We were able to get results a few hours later, and extremely relieved to find out that the questionable spot on the MIBG scan from last week was just a false positive! So--no new cancer spots!! We are very blessed, and know that the power of prayer truly works, and are grateful for all the prayers said on our behalf. We have felt them. McKay will be able to continue treatment as original planned...just a week delayed. Another big day today, is that McKay reached Day +100 from his Stem Cell Transplant!! He is officially done with his isolation period, although, really, with cold/flu season still in full swing, we still wont be getting out much with him. His sister made a cute poster for him (while this momma took a much needed nap!), she loves her little brother so much!! Pictures 1-3: Waiting for MRI, and sedated/during MRI. He is excited that his hair is growing back So he doesnt have as many hurties on his head! (Its amazing how protective hair is for our heads!)
