What a wild mix yesterday rain, snow, sleet and the wind chill was extremely cold. We were frozen and still have such a migraine headache from the 5th rock concert this year next door to us. Twelve bands playing very loudly and it was still going on when we came out of the fields at 9pm. It started early Saturday morning and when we arrived home from our market it was still going loud & strong. Even with ear muffs on it was blaring so loud we couldnt hear each other talk while we picked. It was advertised to go on for 12 hours. There is absolutely no reason to play music that loud with no consideration for ones neighbors here in the country. On the brighter side we got the majority of our peppers picked along with some of our purple cauliflower, tomatoes, squash and more potatoes dug. I am still shivering so hard I feel a chiropractor visit coming on, when I am this cold I shiver so hard I always put a rib or two out of synch. Our faces were so red from wind burn and cold there wasn’t enough quilts to warm us up. It will be cold at Ravens Farmers Market today too.
