What a wonderful weekend! Lots of birthday wishes from lots of friends. Had a great time at The Carolina Horse Park, where they held a super schooling day and fabulous unrecognized horse trials. Beautiful courses, would put most recognized horse trials to shame. The plan had been for me to be a the judges and TDs testing at Loch Moy, but due to ignorance on my part of the bureaucratic red tape I was supposed to go through, I did not go, and have given up on getting my R. But, you know, I wouldnt have it any other way. Seeing the huge smiles on my students faces after doing well, and achieving personal bests, makes the disappointment a distant memory. :-) Congratulations to Lisa Kivett, Mary Cason Harney, Andrea Chisholm, and Alice Verbrick for doing so well today. And to El Phillips whose lovely young horse jumped brilliantly on Saturday. And Amy Bresky proving once again that she is a woman of many talents.
