What am I THANKFUL for... ... The taxes that I pay & stressful days because it means I have been employed and now receive a pension to allow me to retire. ... The clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to eat. ... Windows that need cleaned & gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home to live in. ... My huge heat bill because it means I am warm. ... The mess I have to clean up after a get together because it means I have been surrounded by friends & family. ... All the complaining about Miley Cyrus because it means we have freedom of speech. ... The spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I am capable of walking. ... The lady behind me at church who sings off key because it means I can hear. ... The weariness & aching body & mind at the end of the day because it means I have been productive. ... The mistakes & imperfections I have because it reminds me how lucky I am to have family & friends who stick by my side. ... The huge pile of laundry I need to do because it means I have clothes to wear. ... And the alarm that goes off extremely early every morning because it means I am alive for another day and will be seeing my granddaughter soon to take her to school. ... That my hair has turned white and I move a little slower, as it makes me a better Santa... and that makes me happy. ... These are just a few of the things that I am thankful for... how about you? Make sure you take time to tell the people close to you how special they are & how much you love them... before you are thankful that there is a Heaven. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
