What can you say about Russell Brand? Well, he can certainly string a sentence together when it comes to explaining what is wrong in the world today. Brand is the proverbial multi-millionaire who thinks no one knows he is worth millions. Only last week he was on BBC question time calling rich bankers and other rich millionaires for everything when he himself is a millionaire. What a hypocrite. Here we have a guy who lives in heaven on earth speaking out against social injustice who then retreats back to his millionaire lifestyle and lives the life of Riley. Not everyone thinks Brand is great though. Take a look how he is thrown into a water fountain by a guy who obviously doesn’t like him and this happened recently. Take a look at the anger on Brands face. https://youtube/watch?v=dJDMvG47qAs There is and has been many rich people like Brand who when they have made the grade financially decide to develop a social conscience, especially when it comes to banging on about the poor and disadvantaged. Ken Loach, George Orwell, Jack London just to mention a few. Orwell wrote about the poor in books such as, Down and Out in Paris and in London. Jack London wrote about the poor in his book The People of the Abyss. The brilliant middle class writer George Orwell was influenced by Jack London having read all of his books. Oh, Ken Loach the film director, who sees himself as a modern day George Orwell, has made a packet making films about the plight of the working class poor. These people all influenced each other George Orwell influenced Ken Loach, Jack London influence George Orwell. Ken Loach made a film in the sixties about homelessness called Cathy Come Home which helped to bring about the organisation SHELTER, but homelessness is now back on the governments agenda because all the housing associations around the country are allocating their houses to newly arrived EU and sub-continent immigrants. The immigrants, having more children than the indigenous population, are given priority over the rest of us forcing the indigenous population into the more expensive private rented sector and so this injustice goes on unnoticed because of the curse of political correct thinking. Did you know that Jack London, when on an ocean liner trip from America to Europe to visit a publisher, his ocean liner docked briefly in London. Jack decided to stay in London for a couple of weeks to research for a book which was later to be called The People of the Abyss. Jack decided to dress like a tramp and mingle amongst them. Every evening he went back to his expensive hotel and resorted back to his rich life style. Now, George Orwell, obviously knowing this, decided to go one better when researching for his book Down and out in Parris and in London, he decided to live in the doss houses with the down and outs, as he called them. This was to be fatal for Orwell because he contracted TB form these poor unfortunates, which was later to lead to his early demise at the age of just 47 years old. One thing Ken loach and these people have in common with each other is, they hate their own country. But what have all these rich guys ever done to alter the present state of things? For instance have they moved mountains when it comes to the issue of social injustice? Yes, you guessed right, they have done nothing of any real significance. Although Brand is well intentioned the fact is, if Brand was asked to give everything he owned to the poor then speak out amongst the poor instead of speaking out on behalf of the poor, which his wealth is now allowing him to. Do you honestly think he would do this? Brand and all the other rich do-gooders remind me of the rich man who approached Jesus and asked, what I must do to have eternal life.
