What comprises your must have gear when you are out on investigation? Do you always cart around every bit of tech you have or do you select a few/managable amount? For me I have a few things but I always pack lite and bring along just one case (which these days is a satchel). In it is typically a decent video camera capable of both night and day filming, a IR illuminator (I use illuminators from Apparition Technologies), a standard camera light for when I want a little more light on the place, ZOOM digital voice recorder, a camera bracket (for the lights etc) a cheaper digi recorder just to leave somewhere a while, Mel Metre, 2x K2s, PSB7 ghost box (more for viewer interest than my own... i dont think too much on them), three torches (really bright one, a duller one and a small spare), spare batteries for cameras, torches etc... Might sound like a bit of stuff but there are people getting around with half a dozen cases jam packed with goodies. I only need enough to tell an interesting story, I film things and put them up online so the gear I use is more instant gratification stuff for those watching at home.
