What does a Personal Trainer eat throughout the day? To control insulin and glucagon hormones I advise my clients who want to change the shape of their body and shift body fat, to skip breakfast completely, UNLESS they are genuinely hungry. Only if you are GENUINELY hungry OR trying to maintain homeostasis or increase muscle, then I would advise a breakfast consisting mainly of a good dose of protein. Do NOT opt for bread, cereals or fruit. Here is my breakfast: Poached eggs Lightly grilled smoked salmon Black coffee no sugar (stevia sweetener is ok if you have it) Protein shake and then Ive prepared some greek yogurt with nuts and raisins for a snack after lunch.
