What fascinates me is knowing that we can ONLY EVER be what we TRULY are. So technically agency does NOT technically exist. But then it DOES, because it is BY agency that the unchangeable part of us is revealed in times of trial and adversity. There are two ways to look at the process of Exaltation: 1. God is LIFTING up His elect 2. God is knocking DOWN (by trials and adversity) those who are NOT elect. If God is knocking DOWN those who are NOT elect, then we come to find out that...the elect were truly Gods all along...they just didnt know it, until ADVERSITY revealed it to themselves through tests and trials...similar to Abraham. Its not luck. No such thing exists. God cannot create Gods (D&C 93:29), but He can DISCOVER them, like sifting for pure gold among intelligences.
