What if HBCUs just left the NCAA all together and found benefactors to help provide funds to bring back one of its greatest resource lost during integration, the BEST athletes? Not a knock on current or former during this time period. Hear me out....Look at the growth of most modern universities. Yes the have govt funding and yes they have research grants but do you not think the influx of students and money generated thru fundraising is not a direct relationship with athletic growth? They have the stadium, infrastructure and some resources to be able to achieve it. By leaving NCAA your not held up to Title 9 as you are knowingly having semi-pro athletics. Have an HBCU conference and rules. Build a charter and do what every other sports league has done and file for anti trust exemption. Then you can choose which schools come in year after year. You can get tv revenue by the mere buzz of the idea. Then you put your top athletes everywhere in a choosing game. Yes itll be flaws in some of my logic but ask yaself ARE THERE NO INHERENT FLAWS IN THE CURRENT SITUATION!!! Just my capitalistic thoughts.
