What is Gods religion? To what culturally developed man-made - TopicsExpress

What is Gods religion? To what culturally developed man-made belief systems does the Creator subscribe to? Religion can be a good way to understand the Creator for some people, but its not necessary for a relationship with the Source. That relationship is between you and God, not a man-made institution and God. How can God have a religion if religion is man-made? God existed prior to both man and religion, meaning He must rest in that which is prior to man and therefore transcends subjective cultural ideologies. God is not a man with beliefs and a big beard on a gold throne. He is infinite, meaning He is everywhere. In fact, He is not even a He, for Spirit cannot be limited to the dimensions of gender. God is Being, and Being is all that is. How can we limit an infinite unembodied intelligence to the ideals of an ancient cultural construct, and how can reduce the nature of an Infinite Mind to the dimensions of a human being? Once we realize that God is everywhere in all things RIGHT NOW, will see all religion as a cultural points of view of something Universal, we will stop looking for a man with a big grey beard on a gold throne, and will begin to seek God within our own heart and within the creation itself. I looked in temples, churches and mosques. But I found the Divine within my heart. ~ Rumi The Kingdom of God is within you - Jesus
