What is a YaYa?? Well, it’s a sisterhood of 11 beautiful women that all graduated from Silver Lake Regional High School, Kingston, MA in 1966 – collectively called – THE YAYAS!!! Fifteen years ago (when we were 50) we had a “reunion” on Nantucket Island. Since then we have had many trips together, shared in happy times and hard times including, birthdays, retirements, weddings, births, funerals, illness and just plain old whoopee parties! Our favorite place to be is around a table where we can talk, laugh, eat and drink for hours! We cover five states now – Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maryland, South Carolina and Florida. Our most recent trip a few weeks ago was to Amelia Island in Florida where 9 of us shared a big cottage on the beach. When we are together we are one big family (fun but at times dysfunctional!) sharing about our kids and now our grandkids. Our children are the PETITE YAYAS and the grandchildren are the GRAND PETITES. AND, the great-grandchildren are the GREAT GRAND PETITES. Fifteen years there were only three grandchildren (at least that’s all we knew about!) Between us we have 23 Petite YaYas and as of today there are 36 Grand Petites, 3 Great Grand Petites and 3 more Grand Petites on the way!! That would be a grand total of 73 - here is our family: First the YaYas: Dianne, Judy T., Judy B., Kathy, Laurie, Marsha, Peggy, Sandra, Sharon, Sheila and Sue Petite YaYas (23) Chris, David, Erika, Andy, Michael, Jill, Noelle, Dawn, Nicholas, Leigh, Marcie, Melanie, Ronnie, Brian, Amy, Elissa, David, Tim, Michael, Matthew, Melissa, Donna and Jimmy. Grand Petites (36) Jared, Jason, Delaney, Ryan, Keira, Sofia, Madison, Rochelle, Andrew, Melissa, Jason, Julia, Owen, Ethan, Noah, Lucas, Tanner, Tatum, Ashleigh, Grant, Quinn, Ryan, Hadley, Jack, Gavin, Madeline, Mackenzie, Hyatt, Hart, Amy, Danielle, Megan, Madilyn, Jacob, Jake, Cassie and Luca.
