What is a man? I am seriously asking. What do you expect a man to be for you? I am old enough to be eligible for AARP. Thats how old I am. I have seen many changes in my life. Many of them for the good. My security system went off tonight. I am on high alert. Am I over reacting, or simply prepared? I have swept the property and found nothing out of the ordinary. My son knows that I will help anyone in need, and he has shared this with his friends. (One of his friends was suspended for sleeping in school. Not during school, but the poor kid felt unsafe at home, couldnt think of anywhere to go, and broke into the school looking for a safe haven, a place to sleep for the night.) Text or call if youre in trouble. I will do my best to protect you. But that also means you should not approach my home unannounced. I trusted my dogs tail more than my own reactions, But right now, I am without a dog. Without a dog, I have no measure but my own smarts. Please be safe tonight. Hoping we can all someday find a place we are safe.
