What is a mushroom?This Sunday, come to High Falls Conservation Area and explore the world of these interesting organisms: their role in nutrient recycling and their relationship with plants. Our guide will be Taro Ietaka, Director of Conservation at the Rye Nature Center and also the President of the Connecticut-Westchester Mycological Association (COMA). This will be a family friendly walk. If you bring children, however, please discuss with them the importance of not handling mushrooms unless a professional mycologist has first established that it is safe to do so.
