What is being built on the north side of City Hall near Burger King? A lot of excitement is building up right outside of our windows! When finished, the area will house restaurants and an office building. A two-story restaurant and lounge called “Dupus Boomer” will sit near the corner of Swift Boulevard and George Washington Way and will include an outdoor, all-season deck. Dupus Boomer is a well-known fictional cartoon character created by a former Hanford worker in the mid-1940’s that depicted life in the early Hanford days. In the north end corner of the land, an office building is planned and the south end will house Taco Time and Jimmy Johns. The buildings were designed by a local architect firm and will include lots of glass, brick and stucco.
