What is the BIGGEST KILLER of Christians today? you might be quit surprised.. Well, besides Satan, the answer is: the BIBLE. Yes, thats right, the bible is whats becoming our individual destruction. WHY? When you become a Christian and become BORN AGAIN, you just took a big weight upon your shoulder, your dragging the cross around with you. Becoming a Christian means you separated yourself away from the world by going against the NORMAL flow. We decided to follow the path of righteousness and a Godly life so that we may have salvation and have an ETERNAL life with God. BUT, we are going against the flow of this world, people are watching our every move, judging us, debating our testimonies, and putting us down in many ways and this is where the weight on our shoulders comes from, we carry this around with us. The bible holds our strength to carry this burden. Most of us Christians are not reading our bibles regularly, and the longer we go without reading it the weaker we get. Heres an example: When a weight lifter does the dead lift, and lifts a large weight above his head showing his great strength, that represents us as Christians when were strong, we can hold that weight confidently, but as we put off reading the bible, we start to lack in spiritual strength and our arms start to get weak, we start to realize how much weight we have, then eventually our knees get week and start to buckle and this makes us vulnerable to give up and throw the weight down, or loose faith or even be deceived into other cult like religions due to our lack of spiritual knowledge and strength. The bible to us is like protein to a body builder, its like sun light to a garden, water to a gold fish, and so on. We need the bible to survive and give us strength, to replenish our spirits like water for an Olympic runner. Our generation spends hours a day watching TV, movies, and reading other books, but very few read the bible. Isnt the bible more important then a tv show or a movie? Please keep your faith strong in these times and get your strength from God. I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
