What is the meaning of true friendship? Its when a person sticks around long enough to partake in the joys of your successes. They are there to pick you up in your failures. The do not judge, they do not hide, in fact, they become a prominent part of your everyday living. No, you do not need friendship as a means for validation, because a true friend will tell you when youre wrong, tell you to stop whining, hell, theyll even call you out when they think youre getting too big for your shoes. What a friend doesnt do is talk behind your back, try to outdo you in everything you try. Make out that you are far less superior than them, in fact, a dishonest friend will stab you in the back, try to destroy you from the inside, and if you really give them the power, they will manipulate those around you. A true friend will always live in your heart no matter the distance. A true friend will always listen, offer words of advice and encouragement, a true friend is the next best thing to a sibling. Never take those friendships for granted. Embrace them. Enjoy them. Be thankful.
